Hi there, we too adopted our children from Russia.Recently we went to social security,and we found out that all children adopted international are not consider us citizen by social security and MVA unless they were inform about the adoption by the us custom.I am very confuse about this mater.As far as we are concern that the day the US provide my children US citizen and a social security card that they are automatically US citizen.MY husband and I are US citizen.They only able to provide my children foreign born birth citificate.My son is 18 and my daughter is 16.Did any body experience the same problem.?
